“In any given moment, we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.”
-Abraham Maslow
OUR VISION:
Gloucester Public Schools strives to promote the overall mental health and wellness of all of our students. We are committed to ensuring that every student learns the social-emotional skills necessary to thrive in school and beyond.
OUR TEAM:
We have a District Clinical Team composed of School Psychologists, School Adjustment Counselors, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to help support students and their families. It is our core belief that when schools partner effectively and closely with families and our community, our students will experience more success academically, socially, and emotionally.
Licensed mental health clinicians at every school work within multidisciplinary teams to provide a comprehensive model of support through individual, group and classroom support and interventions.
OUR FRAMEWORK:
Gloucester Public Schools adopts the CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning) framework of social-emotional learning focusing on developing the skills in the five competency areas for all of our students.
